Whereas artists like Bowie and the Beatles constructed alter egos from whose perspectives they wrote songs, Stibbards has imagined a career for himself.

A career that began in 1997, after an inspiring trip to Glasgow, Scotland, and meeting Belle and Sebastian, and continues until the present.

During this fictional career, albums and singles were released, the greatest of which are gathered together on this album. These thirteen songs trace Stibbards' shifting interest, from the jangle pop of the ‘80s and ‘90s, to the garage rock and post-punk revival groups of the new millennium.

Behind all of them is his QUEST for song writing and expression.
